Many years ago, when Siddharth Kumar Tewary graduated from college, he left campus with one burning aspiration: to retell the Mahabharata, the Ramayana, and countless other Indian epics for a new generation. That single-minded mission has since grown into the multi-platform powerhouse we now know as Swastik.
The Rise of Swastik Productions
From its very first studio floor, Swastik Productions set a new benchmark for Indian historical drama.
The genre-defining Mahabharata made Swastik a household name. Blockbusters such as Chandragupta Maurya, Porus and Radha Krishna ensured ratings success was matched by critical acclaim: the company's trophy cabinet now overflows with innumerable awards for direction, production design, VFX, and soundtracks — cementing Swastik's reputation as India's leading custodian of history and culture.
A Storyteller Who Built His Own Kingdom
Early in his journey, Siddharth realised that existing studios simply couldn't capture the scale and visual grandeur India's epics deserved. So, he built his own.
Swastik Bhoomi, a 28-acre production hub in Umbergaon, Gujarat, now features:
- 17 fully equipped shooting floors
- Crew housing and on-site
- post-production suites
- A helipad for rapid logistics
- celebrity fly-ins
Bhoomi has become India's go-to backlot for historical and mythological drama, yet its tech stack is future-proofed for any genre, from high-concept fantasy to contemporary thrillers.
